How to Uninstall a Bunch of Windows Apps at Once

Unused Windows Apps take up a lot of unwanted space in the computer systems and it is always a good idea to remove them. It creates more storage space for wanted apps and declutters the computer screens. Uninstalling apps on computers is an easy task. Whether the user wants to uninstall a single app or multiple apps altogether, several simple steps need to be followed. These steps depend on the version of the software in use. Uninstalling apps on Windows 10 and 11 requires different steps than any of the older versions. 

However built-in options are not very efficient when large amounts of data are to be removed from the system. Specialty tools are created for this purpose that enables users to uninstall large data files within seconds. Uninstalling Apps from Windows 10 and Windows 11 

 

Windows 11 

 

Removing apps from Windows 11 is very simple. It can be done by following these simple steps. 

Tap on the main menu 

Go to “Settings”. It is located on the top of the main menu by default. If it is not present in the main menu, users can search the “Settings” app in the search bar. 


Once in the “Settings” app click on the “Apps” tab. 

Next, click the “Apps and Features” option in the “Apps” tab. This will show a list of all the installed programs on the computer. 

Go to the app that needs to be uninstalled and tap on the three dots on the right of the name of the app. A drop-down menu will appear, this will include an “uninstall” option. Click on the uninstall option and follow the steps. 

Some apps may have a different procedure but it generally requires the user to click the “Next” button a couple of times. 

Repeat the procedure for all apps to be uninstalled. 


Window 10 

 

The removal of apps from Windows 10 is similar to that in Windows 11. The following steps enable the removal of apps from Windows 10. 

Click the start menu icon. 

Go to “Settings”. It is in the left panel of the start menu. It is symbolized by a gear icon in Windows 10. If the users can’t find it in the main menu, it can be easily searched for in the search bar. 


In the “Settings” tab, click on “Apps”. This will provide a list of all available programs on the computer system. 

Tap on the program to be uninstalled. It will give an “Uninstall” option. 

Click the “Uninstall” button and follow the instructions. 

Uninstalling Apps Using the Control Panel 

 


Control Panel is an old option offered by Windows since the launch of Windows 95. Uninstalling apps through the control panel on laptop or computer requires the same procedure as it did in Windows XP and Vista or even older versions. 

Uninstalling apps through the control panel is easy. 

Tap the “Start” button 

Next, Click on “Control Panel” in the main menu. 

In the “Control Panel” tab click on “Uninstall Programs”. This will show the list of all applications on the system. 


Double-click on the program to be uninstalled and follow the instructions. 

Uninstalling Windows Apps in Bulk 

 

All the options discussed in the article above only allow one item to be uninstalled at a time. The user runs the uninstallers manually and individually. Removing multiple apps through this procedure can be time-consuming. Therefore, software developers have come up with an external tool to remove a bunch of apps together from the Widows called the BCU. 

 


BCU or the Bulk Crap Uninstaller enables the removal of multiple applications from Windows collectively. This is a widely used app, considered to be highly reliable and free of cost. Users can command to uninstall several apps together and BCU will carry out the process without human supervision. 

BCU provides the users with a list of installed programs on the device. Users can simply initiate the process through the following steps. 

Choose the items to be uninstalled by simply clicking on the box next to the name of the program. If the box is not available, click on the “select using check box” option in the left panel. 

Once all the items are selected, scroll to the top and click on the “Uninstall quietly” option. A dialogue box will appear confirming the uninstallation of the items. 

Double-check all the selected items to omit any errors. 


Confirm the uninstallation and let BCU carry out the required procedure.
