Kashmir Itinerary – Trip to heaven in 7 days

A 7-day trip to Kashmir is an excellent way to explore the best of what this region has to offer. Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

On the first day of your trip, you will arrive in Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. You can take a flight from any major city in India to Srinagar. Upon arrival, you can check into your hotel and spend some time exploring the city. Srinagar is known for its beautiful Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. These gardens are a perfect blend of Persian and Mughal architecture and are a testament to the artistic and aesthetic sensibilities of the Mughals.

In the evening, you can take a Shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake and witness the beautiful sunset. The Dal Lake is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Srinagar and is a symbol of the city’s natural beauty. Day 2: Gulmarg

On the second day of your trip, you can head to Gulmarg, one of the most popular destinations in Kashmir. Gulmarg is located at an altitude of 2,650 meters above sea level and is famous for its scenic beauty, snow-capped mountains, and adventure activities. You can take the Gondola ride, which is the world’s second-highest cable car ride and enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan range. The Gondola ride takes you to the Kongdoori Mountain, which is located at an altitude of 3,979 meters above sea level. From here, you can witness the breathtaking views of the Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world.

You can also indulge in skiing, snowboarding, and other adventure activities in Gulmarg. The town  surrounded by beautiful snow-capped mountains, and it is a perfect destination for adventure enthusiasts. The skiing season in Gulmarg usually starts from December and continues until March.

Day 3: Pahalgam

Day 4: Sonmarg

On the fourth day of your trip, you can head to Sonmarg, which  known as the “Meadow of Gold.” Sonmarg is located at an altitude of 2,800 meters above sea level and is famous for its scenic beauty, glaciers, and the Thajiwas Glacier. Day 5: Sonamarg – Srinagar

After breakfast, proceed back to Srinagar. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the local markets and trying out local delicacies. You can also visit the famous Shankaracharya Temple, which is located on a hilltop and offers stunning views of the city.

Day 6: Doodhpathri

On the sixth day of your trip, you can head to Doodhpathri, a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level. Doodhpathri  known for its scenic beauty, crystal-clear streams, and lush green meadows. You can enjoy a picnic with your family and friends and indulge in activities like trekking and horse riding.

Day 7: Departure

On the final day of your trip, you can check out of your hotel and head back to the airport to catch your flight back home. You can also indulge in some last-minute shopping and buy souvenirs like Pashmina shawls, Kashmiri handicrafts, and spices.
